photojournalism - project x plet

assalamualaikum wbt!

plet is an acronym for pipeline ends termination. in short, it's basically the end of your pipeline. there are several reasons why you need a plet and for this project x, we need this as to terminate the rigid pipeline and to connect it to our flexible flowlines. though it can normally connected using a flange to flange connection, due to operation needs, we need to install the plet to accommodate some of the piping arrangement to it. sounds complicated?

and now, if you have several pipeline that need to be terminate at a platform, the best way is for you to consider plem. pipeline end manifolds. to consider this, you need to ensure that the hydrocarbon properties for each of the fluids are rather the same. the function of the pipeline is also the same or else you might end up to have several plet or straight riser to rigid pipeline connection.

this is something that you need consider in your design. as usual, pictures below are pictures taken (in photojournalism or documentary mode) for plet installation. its can be considered a normal lifting though but you still need to ensure several things prior to the lift. :D

hence, enjoy!

and  i'm still offshore. suddenly got hit by weather as supposed that we can complete installation of rigid riser yesterday. hopefully i can go back during this thursday boat run. with that, i would not be able to stand up to my promise. i'm sorry.

photojournalism - project x mwa

assalamualaikum wbt

halo! it has been quite sometime that no new post in this blog as well as no comments on the comment box. probably those who come and visit are probably bots. but nevermind, the intent of this blog is never waver even in 1mm, as to share knowledge (and probably some expression or radical teaching)

and yes, i'm currently at my last few yellow campaign, if i can say it out loud, insyaAllah. and this time around, it's a continuation of the previous previous photojournalism that you may have seen (check the gallery if you haven't seen it). hopefully it gave you something related to offshore activities.

this time around we are installing the mid water arch (mwa) where there will be 3 flowlines from our well head platform to our fpso. and from the fpso, there will be an export flowlines that will still be connected (if i may say) and sit on top of the mid water arch before it was further connected to PLET.
(all the technical terms is rather hard to explain :P)

so enjoy the pict!

:)

p/s: hopefully i would be back onshore before 29 March 2012.

thank you Allah for new family member

assalamualaikum wbt

well actually we have two additional family member but this one is easier to take as of now. will use this one to take pictures of my new nephew, qa'id bin yushyieran.

but for this picture, i do hope that using this i can bring more knowledge to the people who reads this blog, as that was first intention for blogging, and second one to show and share the readers of the wonderness of this world. and may we understand, both our brain and heart of what lies behind that wonder and greatness.

people would ask why did i bought a new one; and the reason is that my used-lovely-old-yet-durable-capable camera is having his slight fever at certain occasion and somehow the bar is raised in such that he could not perform the work. and thus bringing this new camera. insyaAllah, i will still use both but at the mean time i'm giving it to a new owner for learning purposes. :)

insyaAllah.

p/s: i don't name my stuff. so don't ask me about this little fella's name.

tag along - radzif and nurul reception at Kajang

assalamualaikum wbt.

it has been a while since i have taken up my camera and take reception pictures. for this one, I'm helping out my friend who is the junior photographer at cs. I really wanted to see how cs works and see things (art of seeing) so that i could use that knowledge for my photojournalism.
for more pictures and stories, visit http://blog.candidsyndrome.com/

and if people were to ask me, do you take wedding photography jobs? i would say yes but the couple especially the bride shall cover her 'aurah' completely (wearing hijabs in short). yes, i can demand my client as Allah is the one who give rezki to His servant, and I shall not afraid by ensuring His Fitrah.

that should be all of the pictures (that I can upload)

now I shall focus to complete my chapt 2 and 3 by end of the month, insyaAllah. pray so that Allah opened up and give ease for me to complete such an important task.

thank you!

workroadtrip to Perth, WA

assalamualaikum!
as promised! i'm not so much into landscape as my interest is more on people at work i.e. photojournalism. but nevertheless, the view is so superb that i tried doing landscape photography. feel free to comment or support if you like but this is some of the pictures that I have taken during the trip.

if you see clearly, there is no picture showing my companion or colleagues, this is due to private and confidential issues. they might not want their faces to be publish at my tiny-small-unpopular blog. lol!

this is somewhere between busselton and dunsborough

here are some pictures taken nearby sugarloaf area, cape naturalist, WA

cape leeuwin, south augusta, WA

and perth city at night (handheld with help of guardrail for shutter speed of 2s and f10)

and me!

and indeed, Allah through Surah Al-Ankaboot (29) Ayat 20 said " Travel through the eart ad see how Allah did originate creation: so will Allah produce later creation: for Allah has power over all things."

Allah Maha Besar :)

Assalamualaikum wbt.

To tell the truth, I have a meeting at Perth and only intend to take pictures around Perth city, but something unplanned happen that prompted me to overstay my stay to another one day. there isn't much pictures being taken (using my old camera) but I used my colleagues camera as well (which I need to get the picture from SD card).

hence, enjoy the prelude or prologue to my workroadtrip to Perth (and Mandurah-Bunburry-Busselton-Dunsborough-Margaret River-Augusta).

photojournalism - project x: fpso pile and chain mooring installation

assalamualaikum!

to tell the truth, i haven't touch my dslr and photoshop for 4++ months now. although i do went to offshore starting november, the restrictions and the focus causes me to not take pictures while working and concentrating on the progress. well, that paid off when we completed the tie-in work during shutdown earlier by 8 hours. alhamdulillah, all praise to Allah for helping us.

but today, have had that feeling to take out all the pictures that i have taken in sept last year, lalalala! and complete editing it. i think Allah indirectly had cured my migrain through this one. Thank you Allah! and actually this post is a continuation from here

so this is about FPSO mooring chain installation for Project X. the pictures that you see afterwards is solely on the upending, connect the D-shackle to the anchor chain and pile itself. the laying of the chain is not included as it was done under the sea level :D

there is a unique way to handle the chain and thank you to DKa and DBy for teaching me how best to connect this chain without twisting it.
it's a good experience, undoubtly.

p/s: if you have comments on the pictures on how to improve it, just let me know. xD
