lesson 9 - question and answer (1)

assalamualaikum and gud evening at this time....

i promise to one of my jnrs to write something regarding fyp, specialize and also intern since there are some pepel asking the following question:

1. "amik pe for specialize? how can we decide?best ke?"
first and foremost, what are d field dat u interested of....and for d jnrs, do think from now, or else you get lots of headache to decide when u r going for internship...if wanna go for petroleum, then choose a related company for intern and after dat, also go for related specialization. But, if somehow, u went for a company dat r unrelated to ur interest, and final year, you take ur interest..sure there is no problem...

in a way, if you in a line with your interest, you are more prepared mentally for dat course, you are happy to learn dat subject..if not, somehow your knowledge are getting broader which also good...there is no correct answer for wat specialize should u take...

observe the current market and also wat are your interest...and just go, there is a job in this world for you...as for is it interesting, if u enjoy everything doesnt matter anymore....

2. "final year, fyp wat pe? why did u go for dat one?"
erm, the thing is, ur fyp somehow can be related to specialize or can be not...as for civil engineering, the field are quite broad yet the specialize is quite limited....

for me, i go for geotechnical engineering for my fyp and for specialize, i go for building construction..it is somehow related in a way...having a related fyp and specialize somehow strengthen your knowledge in dat area and also your resume...but having separate fyp and specialize also gud, since your knowledge again are broaden....

i love geotech...since its more complicated than other field...or mainly structure..to understand the nature are quite troublesome than human made...dats what interest me the most....

to choose this, see the lecturer when the topic are out, ask them and slowly decide from what you have heard...develop your own interest...and your fyp can be done smoothly...whether or not you wanted to propose your own topic like what im doing, it is another topic...

3. "intern cane?"
well, intern are quite fun....if u are pet scholars, your future somehow is limited to only pet...so if u are so dying to work for pet, go for pet during intern...if somehow, you had eye on something, go for dat company....

what matters during intern is knowledge gain and applied...do seek job during intern....and show your commitment to your work..yes, it is okay if doesnt have job for few weeks, but it can be danger if it continues....let think dat u been paid because u are doing a great job....

what ever that you take, never regrets later since that is the path that you choose...if u dunnoe how to choose..then, ask for help...from HIM...he's knows everything..even though He didnt tell you, but at least, u did ask Him for direction....we are not sahabat thus, our doa are somehow hard to reach Him...
